Fernando Chavez is an immigration attorney based in Florida who has practiced exclusively in immigration law since 2018. His work focuses on asylum, removal defense, immigration bond hearings, and family-based petitions with USCIS, representing clients in both detained and non-detained cases across the United States.
He began his legal career working with large nonprofit organizations, where he handled a wide range of complex immigration matters. His experience includes direct representation of detained individuals in remote detention centers, often in underserved areas, as well as leadership roles overseeing legal services programs. Through this work, Fernando has developed a strong foundation in both individual advocacy and program-level strategy.
Now in private practice, Fernando is committed to providing accessible, honest, and effective representation to individuals and families navigating the immigration system. He approaches each case with a practical, strategy-driven mindset, emphasizing thorough preparation, clear communication, and realistic planning tailored to the circumstances of each client.
Outside of his legal work, Fernando enjoys spending time with his family and is drawn to anything water-related along Florida’s Gulf Coast. He is a proud husband and father, with a growing family that will soon include three daughters.
